Rabbits

Has anyone ever thought that rabbits just aren't smart creatures? to be honest, I haven't spent all that much time thinking about them in the past. But today the thought was there. The whole someone might have spotted me lets freeze thing is not helping them. Especially when the someone who saw them just happens to be a very large Jack dog. When Jack dog takes off in your direction, assuming you are the rabbit, it would make sense to me to RUN AWAY, not sit completely still. Except for the arm/hand holding on to Jack Jack's leash, the arm/hand that used to be attached to my body, that rabbit would have been a goner. Even after I said, "Rabbit, run away, run away" it just sat there. Which also begs the question, why are rabbit's feet lucky?

You did really raise a great question: why would a cut off (probably neon dyed) foot of an animal that won't run away from danger be considered something to give you luck? Now I want to know the answer...
