Well we made it to the first week. Happy 1 week birthday Sadie.
Breastfeeding has taken up my life but I am managing to get some stuff done now. Can't have done it without B's mom around. (thanks Grandma Sharon) Things are going ok. We get batches of sleep at night where last night she slept for 3.5 hours and then 3 hours. Woohoo!
B was home on Monday but went back to work on Tuesday. Next week he will stay home with me when Sharon goes back to work as well. the third week will be me alone with baby so we will see how that goes.
Sadie is doing great. First appt showed she gained 4.5 ounces so only 1.5 ounces to go to get back to birth weight. Pretty sure she has made it already as she definitely has daddy's appetiate! INSATIABLE. We are getting onto a sort of schedule where Sadie eats, then we give to grandma for some jiggling to get her to sleep while I either shower, rest or eat. Then Sadie wakes up and we start all over again. Can't wait till she starts eating at farther apart intervals. It is about 2.5 hours between right now.
I have to be careful with the hormones and television watching. Lifetime movies and TLC Baby's stories can set off the tears. on Sunday b came up to check on me while breastfeeding and saw me balling. all i could say was baby is fine but the woman is dying. :) I was watching some woman's channel movie. Very sad the lady died of cancer. Me not allowed to watch those movies anymore.
