Hello again

My good intentions of continuing to blog have obviously not been enough to get me to write. It has been a crazy 6 months since the last update so I will try to keep it brief.

Me: In October I was promoted to program manager to help develop our college graduate rotational program. It was a very busy three months until my coworker came back to take on my generalist work. So glad she is back! Merry Christmas to me!

In January Sadie started at her new preschool. She loves it. It is amazing to see such a difference in her with the new challenge her school presents. She comes home and loves to do her homework, was writing her name within a week (it was better after two!), and can't wait to go back. She does miss her 'old' friends but thankfully the parents are great from old school and continue to invite Sadie to parties. Sadie loves and misses them a lot. She did ask last week if she can go visit them but still hasn't asked to go back to old school. It says a lot for her new one! The biggest challenge is now Sadie and Elise are in different schools. My commute now involves, dropping off Bryan at the train, dropping off Sadie at her school which is by our house and then driving downtown with Elise who is still at old daycare. Our plan is to get an au pair in April and take Elise out of daycare until she is ready for preschool. The au pair will take Sadie to and from school as well so B and I have some more flexibility. We are looking to get Elise signed up for a social class too but haven't decided yet.

B just recently accepted a new job which he starts in two weeks. It is much closer to home and we couldn't be more excited. It was a stressful week for him to accept and resign his current job but we think its the right decision. His commute will go from 1.5 hours to about 15 minutes.

Christmas was spent with my family in Indiana as B's parents are still in Japan. B is traveling to go see them in April. We are hoping to get our au pair right before he leaves so I have some help. Wish us luck! Yesterday was spent on skype interviewing three candidates. We think we like one of them so we are going to talk again this weekend.

Elise continues to try to do everything Sadie does with an increased sense of adventure. She has started talking more and more, with repeating whatever you say. Her most common word right now is 'rella' (or Cinderella) which she calls every princess she sees. Sadie couldn't be prouder.
