don't pick the lincoln park branch.
all I wanted to do was get a new passport with my new name. sounds simple right? Wrong. I made a dumb decision and thought taking a leisurely walk to the Lincoln Park Post Office was the better plan then going downtown to get my passport renewed. It was a mess. Neither one of the two ladies working the counter, knew what to do. I felt like I had more information than either of them. the website said i could use my credit card.. but oh no. Not there. apparently it is too difficult. After 45 minutes of line waiting, application filling out, and questioning with no answers, I finally finished everything and mailed it off. Please let it be right.

Um, when I changed my name on my passport, I just filled out a form I downloaded online and mailed it in with my original passport and got it back about a month later with a little amendment in the back showing I have a new name. You went to way more trouble than you needed to!
