Weekend Update

It was an odd weekend. With carpet guys, painters, house viewing, chicago wolves, snow, seeing Valerie in hospital... it was busy but seemingly productive. It started nicely with Steaks on Friday night (even though the smoke alarm kept going off, I swear I did not burn them! they were tasty, thanks again Steve!) and a movie. Saturday started the chaos. We (well me anyway, b was already up) woke up to painters in our house and Sierra a little nervous. Bryan started tearing up the carpet while they were painting, then the carpet guy came to quote us on new carpet. Then we left to see a house, then I went to my sisters due to the paint fumes, came home and left again for Chicago Wolves game, came home in horrible ice chunk snow. Sunday woke up to more painting, talked about house again, then I fell asleep (nap time!) by the time I woke up painter was gone, my blue wall was an ugly color and we had errands to run. off to a carpet store, then to see Valerie, then to target, then home in time to watch the Oscars and cleaning as our house is a disaster from a month with painters. phew.

The Wolves game was really fun. We were in the second row from the ice so players were getting smooshed up against the glass right in front of us. cool. Skates the mascot even came and sat with us for a bit. Teh drive home was miserable in that ice crap we had but we made it in one piece.

The house we saw on Saturday was also interesting. We are debating about it. It would require some construction as the upstairs is almost completely empty. but that is what we like. we can make it ours. The make or break will be if we can put a bathroom up there or not. It has two full baths but not upstairs by the master bedroom. cool too is it is only two blocks from the blue line and the metra station. woohoo. This whole move thing has been up in the air as we weren't sure we were going to move or wanted to move, blah blah and now this house has us questioning. We need another bedroom now with baby on the way, but we figured we had time so we would look until we found house of dreams. hm. I have realized house of dreams is too expensive right now so this could be house of dreams in making. We will keep you posted. Right now we are just trying to figure out our options.
