Holidays

First of all... we are home!! phew. Tired but happy. Thanks goodness I don't start school for another week. B took this week off as well so we can clean and organize and basically move back in. We were on the road for a solid week. got in lots o family time. showed off my bling bling and generally ate a house. ok so literrally I didn't eat a house as it probably wouldn't taste good but it feels like I have one attached to my behind. diet city is about to approach. (my wedding dress comes in next week.. eek.. talk about running out of time)

The build up for the holiday season starts so far in advance when you actually get there it is almost a let down. Almost. This holiday rocked!! As the first holiday season of the engagement we decided to make both families. Lets be honest, driving from indiana to kansas sucked... however, the fun in between was worth it. Food was amazing (again note the house on my butt), families were both doing well and the generosity abounded. oh yea and borrowing the daddy conversion van made the drive better..nothing like watchin a movie to make 2 hours go by quickly. Four humans and two dogs in the van did make it cozy but fun.

My new pup was a little scared of the Haack family pets (2 maniac terriers) at first but she moved past it after two days.. I seriously think she has been looking for them today. She roams room to room sniffing and crying. maybe she just misses all the attention showered on her. She was a hit. everyone loved her.. so much so that my two weeks of training is almost completely destroyed. Except for kennel training. Last night we put her in the kennel and she didn't cry once. sweet.

Off to go pick up wedding bands, get new license (my name is spelled wrong) and go to the bank. got to deposit my big jury duty checks.
