Elise One Month

Well it was last week but I have been busy trying to unpack. I know excuses, excuses... anywho, Elise is doing great. While she isn't quite the eater her big sister was (still is), Elise is well on her to way to being a big girl. She weighed it at 9lbs 9.5 ounces which is only in the 50%ile but almost two whole lbs from birth weight. She is growing steadily. (Sadie was and still is in the 90%ile or higher, will confirm next month at her checkup). Elise was 21 1/2 inches long in the 75%ile and her head circumference was only in the 25%ile still (ha thank goodness! hee hee). As I noticed with the little outfits, Elise is skinny and tall with no butt taking after her father more and more. Sadie is a chubber with the family booty, taking after her mother. The fun will come as we see Elise's personality come out more. Right now she is perfectly content to be held and rocked all day in someone's arms. She does know and prefer momma but will sleep while held by anyone. I put her down, she sleeps for a bit and then is awake. She is holding her head up pretty well already. the other day, right after tummy time, she proceeded to roll to her side and lay there for a bit. Me thinks this one will be a quick study following in her big sisters foot steps.

Except, Sadie didn't like to be held and still doesn't. She prefers to be running at full speed ahead into trouble, like her daddy. She may look like me but I have said it before and I will say it again, she is her father. Maybe that is why they get along so well. :)

Sadie fell the other day and split her lip open. Her chin was red and bleeding so I gave her some tylenol for the pain. She had a nasty bruise on her chin for a week and her lip was cut inside and out. The funny thing is now anytime she slightly bangs herself (which happens multiple times a day) she says, "Momma, Sadie has owie. its red. I need tylenol". oh boy.
