Besides the Cubs losing it was a great time! Bryan was very excited to have an Old Style (its true!) There is just something about a hot dog and an Old Style that make a Cubbie game what it should be! It just added to our fun that we got to take our daughter. Sadie was a little confused by all the noise at first but after she got used to it she was a champ. Sitting with daddy and watching all the peeps. She fell asleep in the 7th inning and missed the Take me out to the ballgame, but B and i sang to her anyway.
The cab ride was a cinch! Daddy had her in the baby bjorn (a wonderful invention) so she slept the whole ride (um the what... 8 blocks? ha) in the cab. you do not need a car seat in a cab. or even on a plane for that matter. I looked up all manners of travel just to be on the safe side. I am sure Sadie will be on a plane before we know it, either to Sacramento for B's friends wedding, Kansas, or maybe even a random location for a family trip. It will happen. If not now, then next year for sure on our way to Dublin!
Next up we just need to get her a Cubs outfit, and not of the cheerleader variety which is what everyone seems to have for girls and all of them in pink. Target even had the nerve to label the sports attire rack 'infant boys'. stupid. why can't girls like sports again? ::insert C's soap box::: It leads me to the rant about starting the sexist attitude so young. All the little blue outfits are boy outfits and everything pink is girl outfits. how annoying. sports attire doesn't have to be for a boy. it doesn't have to pink to make sports girlie either. sheesh people. yes Sadie does look good in pink but come on I really think she will look adorable in blue. yet all the little girl outfits in blue are that greenish shade of blue not real blue. I want a cute real Cubs blue outfit for Sadie that won't make her look like a boy (b didn't like that the guy in front of us thought she was a boy. she was wearing a white outfit so it could have gone either way. then b made a comment about starting her early on sports and the guy assumed boy. stupid man.)
oops speak of the devil I hear my little girl wakin up. more on the rant later.

amen to that! I'm so sick of all the pink frilly little girl sports stuff. of course addi has it, who's gonna pass up the clothes we got as gifts, but she will have a non-pink jayhawk outfit to cheer the team on too!
