What's in a name?

I realized this past weekend that in telling everyone where Sadie's name came from I forgot to mention the most important part. okmaybe it wasn't this past weekend, but it was while I was talking to Kimmiepoo. Kim was probably the only other one who KNEW the name was goign to be Sadie even before I bought the letters or even before she heard B call my tummy Sadie. It was because way back in the day when I was researching names, B and I reached out to our families to find out family names. As most of you know, Sadie is B's Great Grandma's name. Grandma Sadie wasn't much to look at her in her older years (we have a picture) but I will dare to say she was a super catch in her prime (or we are hoping). Anywho, I heard the name and immediately liked it. however the selling point for me was when I looked up what Sadie means. If you look it up in the name book you will see that Sadie is a nickname for Sarah (not sure again how this came up as a nickname for Sarah but whatever) and means.... wait for it...... PRINCESS!!! I am not kidding. go look it up people. So yes Sadie is a family name but it means Princess. for those of you who may not have ever noticed I wear a ring on my right hand ring finger that says princess. I haven't taken it off for about 7 or 8 years. and now I probably never will!

the middle name Elizabeth is named after my grandma, aunt, sister and cousin as well as B's neice. Elizabeth was my grandma's middle name and is my sisters middle name. Sadie Elizabeth was named after both sides of the family. the little Princess :) Now I must start looking for her first tiara.
