Some of you may have heard this story some of you may not.. but while I was in labor with Sadie a very nice young dr came into the room to ask me for my placenta. Since I wasn't going to use it (yes there are people out there who do use, and not only use it but EAT it!!) I said sure. then they asked if Sadie would participate in this development study. Again I was in labor so I said sure. now I actually find it exciting though that I get free development tests to see how Sadie is doing. You may have seen a photo with Sadie having little netting thingies on her head where they studied her brain waves in response to my voice. She had a test at 1 month, 3 months and we went back for our 6 month development check last week.

::BEWARE OF MOMMA BRAGGIN AHEAD::::
where it was confirmed that Sadie is above average developmentally. I knew it. :) Anywho, they did say she was doing things above her age limit, was very smart, very aware, and gosh darn it so darn cute! It was really interesting though and I learned a lot about my own child!!! The dr lady came in and tested Sadie with all these games. One game: she, the dr lady, put a book, a spoon and a cup in front of Sadie and said "Sadie, where is the book?" Sadie picked the book. We, the dr and I, were both surprised. Then she said "Sadie, where is the spoon?" And you guessed it, Sadie picked up the spoon. It was by and large a very big learning experience for me. Sadie already knows it all, I just have to show her how to tell me she knows it all! If you haven't heard me say it before you can read it now, we are in for it when she is a toddler. HA. It was really interesting to watch what Sadie can do. she already knows her name, object permanence, can switch toys from hand to hand, has the pincer grasp on her left hand, tries to stand, can play with toys while sitting up and most of all, can imitate what you do. If you want to hear more from a proud momma feel free to call! I will tell you all the fun experiments they did, how they thought she was adorable and one nurse said she could be the new gerber baby. hm... maybe then I wouldn't have to work to have a new house... :)
Thanks for listening to my brag.

Wow, what a genius baby you've got there! Can I sign BabyW up for some tutoring sessions with Ms. Sadie? I'm impressed!
