Because life is boring without sagas

Last night Sadie decided to eat a small piece of rawhide Sierra left laying around. B and I have been picking up these pieces for awhile but apparently one escaped our attention (or was newly placed openly (under a toy) in the hallway). I was hanging up Sadie's clothes in her closet and she was playing in the hallway. She picked up Sierra's toy in the hallway, found the piece of rawhide, looked up at me to see if I was watching (I was) and calmly placed it in her mouth ignoring my Sadie don't put that in your mouth. I then said, Sadie take that out and motioned the out sign but she just kept on chompin. The out sign and stern faced has worked before but apparently I wasn't' stern enough. I headed over to her, she saw this, got up and started walking away from me. (little stinker). I managed to grab her and check her mouth to find nothing. I put my finger in to see if anything was there, felt something, went to check her mouth again and it was gone. She freaking swallowed while I was holding her to check her mouth. Meanwhile she was not a very happy camper as mommy was one, holding her instead of letting her walk free, two, investigating the folds of her mouth rudely (I wasn't invited in), and three was trying to limit her delicious fun of chomping on a rawhide. She is teething as three teeth have broken through her gums and the fourth is about to pop so she is putting everything in her mouth to chomp. but a rawhide? She was also trying to get in Sierra's food bowl. (side note, Sadie playing or trying to play with Sierra's food is actually helping Sierra to eat more timely, but lets hope Sadie doesn't start to think Pedigree is a snack.)

The poison control center said she should be fine but we need to watch for signs of blockage, constipation, vomiting or stomach pain. Or because Sierra had chewed it at some point, we need to watch for signs of bacteria poisoning, which includes vomiting and/or diarrhea.

Ah the joys of parenthood.
