Well folks yet again we were let down by home depot. Today our deck door was supposed to be installed after months of battling. Around 10:00 we received a call from the installers that they can't find some parts to our door, they are looking and will call us back. Five hours later we had heard nothing so we start calling. The installers called Home Depot and clarified, the box with our door was open and parts were missing. How a deck door box is just opened for parts without anyone noticing or caring is really obnoxious. It was sitting in Home Depot for three to four weeks but no one noticed it till today. So here we are again waiting for home depot to call us to install/deliver/find something we ordered. We are done with them. Menards here we come. We did put in an official complaint but who knows what will come with that.
We also had two painting contractors who were supposed to come give us a quote to paint our whole condo. Neither one showed up! One of them finally did call to reschedule but we won't be calling the other one. They hear condo and think small but this is not slouchy project.
Since we had such a crappy day we decided to spend some of our Lettuce Entertain gift cards for some crab. It was fantastic. Three different types of crap, with some clam chowder and key lime pie added in for good measure! Scrumptious. No worries Kelmo all three were on the 'good' list from the Shedd. :)
