Definitely Nesting

This past weekend was baby room extravaganza. My deadline was today, week 36 of baby days, to get the nursery set up. By George I think I have done it. I spent more time this weekend at Jo-Ann Fabrics than I can probably say I have in my lifetime. Bought a fun new tool, the heavy duty stapler, and planned projects. By the way, they have a quilting class I might try to take to complete that t-shirt quilt I wanted to start like eight years ago. Anywho the photo below shows Carolyn's art experiment number 1. Take one receiving blanket, lots of ribbon, three canvases and an idea stolen from E-ze E and you have wall art #1.
(brown fabric has little green polka dots, green fabric is white and chocolate brown stripes)

Knowing I had to go back to Jo-ann fabrics to return the excess ribbon I purchased and to get more staples to tighten the fabric (new toy only had small itsy bit of staples in the package. ridiculous) I started thinking. Hm. I think I need another ribbon frame. At first B and I thought it would be too much. but I was up for the challenge. I went back to Jo-ann Fabrics, returned some ribbon, but bought more (hee hee) and voila. You end up with Carolyn Wall Art for Baby Room! I didn't know I was creative but alas, when I steal ideas from others I can duplicate them! We are going to use the green fabric (recieving blanket) on the wall above the crib. BAby's name will be on wall above the changing table. (hm for those who may not know this, I have already bought the letters and painted them the same green as the wall. but no I am not allowed to tell the name! I tested them on the wall this weekend and it looks so cute! you will know the name soon!)

Here is Carolyn Wall Art for baby room!
